GDPR Privacy Rights

This page provides additional information for people whose personal data is protected by the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or equivalent European data-protection law. It supplements the Rudo Dating App Privacy Policy.

Who is responsible for your information?

Zimplugs, operator of Rudo Dating App, determines why and how personal information is processed through the Service and acts as the data controller. You can contact us at support@zimplugs.com.

Information and purposes

Rudo processes account, profile, sensitive profile, location, communication, content, purchase, device, technical, usage, safety, and support information. We use it to operate accounts; provide discovery, matching, messaging, calling, payment, and notification features; display profiles; secure and improve the Service; prevent abuse; provide support; show or measure advertising where permitted; and comply with legal obligations.

Our Privacy Policy explains the categories of information, purposes, recipients, international transfers, retention approach, and available controls in more detail.

Legal bases

Depending on the purpose, we rely on:

  • Performance of our agreement with you;
  • Your consent, including where required for sensitive profile information, device permissions, non-essential cookies, or personalised advertising;
  • Our legitimate interests in security, fraud prevention, moderation, support, and Service improvement, balanced against your rights;
  • Compliance with legal obligations; or
  • Protection of vital interests in an emergency.

Your rights

Subject to the conditions and exceptions in applicable law, you may have the right to:

  1. Be informed about how your personal information is used;
  2. Access personal information we hold about you;
  3. Rectify inaccurate or incomplete information;
  4. Erase personal information when the legal requirements for erasure are met;
  5. Restrict processing in specified circumstances;
  6. Receive portable data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format where applicable;
  7. Object to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing;
  8. Withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on consent, without affecting earlier lawful processing; and
  9. Receive appropriate safeguards in relation to qualifying automated decisions. Rudo's profile filtering and recommendations do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

How to exercise your rights

You can update many profile details and privacy preferences directly through account settings. You can delete your account using the account-deletion option in the Service.

For access, portability, objection, restriction, deletion, or another privacy request, email support@zimplugs.com. Describe the right you want to exercise and the account concerned. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and protect your account from unauthorised requests.

We aim to respond within the period required by applicable law, normally within one month under the GDPR. That period may be extended where legally permitted for a complex request, in which case we will inform you.

Account deletion and retention

When account deletion is completed, your profile is no longer available and associated personal information is deleted or de-identified. Limited information may be retained where reasonably necessary for legal compliance, accounting, fraud and abuse prevention, user safety, dispute resolution, enforcement, or legal claims. Protected backups may retain information temporarily until overwritten under normal backup cycles.

International transfers

Your information may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on an adequacy decision, contractual safeguards, or another lawful transfer mechanism designed to protect personal information.

Complaints

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority in the country where you live, work, or believe an infringement occurred.
