Terms of Use for Rudo Dating App

These Terms of Use ("Terms") form an agreement between you and Zimplugs, operator of Rudo Dating App ("Rudo", "we", "us", or "our"). They govern your access to and use of the Rudo Dating App website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, selecting an acceptance option, purchasing a paid feature, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not create an account or use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use Rudo. The Service is not intended for children.

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years old;
  • You are not prohibited by applicable law from using the Service;
  • You have not previously been removed from Rudo for violating these Terms, unless we have expressly authorised your return; and
  • All information you provide is truthful, current, and complete.

We may request reasonable information to verify your age, identity, or eligibility. We may suspend or terminate an account when we reasonably believe that its user is underage, has provided false information, or is not eligible to use the Service.

2. Your account

You may create only one personal account unless we give you permission to create another. You must not create an account for another person, impersonate anyone, operate a fake profile, or misrepresent your identity, age, location, relationship status, intentions, or affiliations.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity conducted through your account. Notify us promptly at support@zimplugs.com if you believe that your account has been accessed without permission.

You must keep your account information accurate and up to date. You may not sell, transfer, license, or share your account with another person.

3. Nature of the Service and personal safety

Rudo provides a platform through which adults may discover and communicate with other users. We do not guarantee that you will find a match, enter a relationship, or achieve any particular result.

Unless we expressly state otherwise, we do not conduct criminal background checks or independently verify every user's identity, statements, photographs, intentions, or conduct. A verification indicator, where available, is limited to the verification process described in the Service and is not a guarantee that a user is trustworthy or safe.

You are responsible for your interactions with other users. Exercise appropriate caution when communicating with someone new or meeting in person. Do not send money or financial information to another user. Meet in a public place, tell someone you trust about your plans, arrange your own transport, and stop communicating with anyone who makes you uncomfortable.

If you believe that someone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate police, emergency, or medical service in your location. Rudo is not an emergency service.

4. Acceptable use and prohibited conduct

You must use the Service lawfully, respectfully, and only for genuine personal dating or social purposes. You must not use Rudo to:

  • Harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, bully, defame, exploit, or abuse another person;
  • Promote hatred, discrimination, or violence based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender, sexual orientation, or another protected characteristic;
  • Post or request child sexual abuse material, sexual content involving anyone under 18, or any content that sexualises or endangers a child;
  • Post non-consensual intimate images, secretly recorded material, sexual exploitation content, or content encouraging sexual violence;
  • Solicit prostitution, trafficking, sexual exploitation, or any other illegal service;
  • Commit fraud, request money, conduct a romance scam, promote an investment scheme, collect banking details, or engage in deceptive commercial activity;
  • Advertise, spam, recruit, solicit business, sell products or services, or promote another platform without our written permission;
  • Distribute malware, malicious links, automated messages, or content intended to damage or interfere with the Service;
  • Use bots, scraping tools, crawlers, or other automated methods to access the Service or collect information about users;
  • Attempt to obtain another user's password, precise location, financial information, identification documents, or other sensitive information through deception or coercion;
  • Publish another person's private or identifying information without permission;
  • Infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights;
  • Promote terrorism, organised crime, self-harm, suicide, dangerous acts, illegal drugs, or unlawful weapons;
  • Upload content that is unlawfully obscene, excessively violent, or otherwise illegal;
  • Interfere with security features, reverse engineer the Service where prohibited by law, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems; or
  • Encourage, assist, or enable another person to do any of the above.

5. User Content

"User Content" means photographs, profile information, messages, comments, audio, video, and other material that you submit, upload, send, or display through the Service.

You retain ownership of your User Content. You confirm that you own it or have all permissions necessary to use it and allow us to process it as described in these Terms.

You grant Rudo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt, and otherwise process your User Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, moderate, and provide the Service and to comply with legal obligations. This licence ends when your User Content is deleted from our systems, except where continued retention is reasonably required for backups, legal compliance, fraud prevention, safety, dispute resolution, or enforcement of these Terms.

You must not upload content featuring another person unless that person has consented to its publication. You must not upload misleading, stolen, digitally manipulated, or AI-generated material in a manner intended to deceive other users about your identity or appearance.

We may review, restrict, remove, preserve, or disclose User Content when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, investigate reports, comply with law, or maintain the security and integrity of the Service. We are not required to monitor every communication before it is sent.

6. Reporting, blocking, and moderation

You can use the reporting and blocking tools available in the Service if another user or their content violates these Terms or makes you feel unsafe.

We review reports and take action we consider appropriate based on the circumstances. Action may include warning a user, limiting account features, removing content, suspending or terminating an account, preserving relevant evidence, or referring a matter to law enforcement or another competent authority.

Reports must be made honestly. Knowingly submitting a false, misleading, or abusive report may itself result in account action.

Blocking a user limits that user's ability to interact with you through the Service, but it cannot prevent contact outside Rudo. Contact the appropriate authorities if you are threatened or believe a crime has occurred.

7. Paid features and virtual items

Rudo may offer credits, virtual items, boosts, or other paid features. The price and included benefits will be displayed before purchase. Virtual items are licensed, not sold, have no monetary value, and cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred outside the Service.

Payments made through Apple App Store, Google Play, PayPal, or another payment provider are also governed by that provider's terms and refund rules. Except where applicable law or the payment provider's rules require otherwise, completed purchases are non-refundable.

Deleting your Rudo account does not automatically create a right to a refund for unused credits or paid features. We may change future prices after providing any notice required by law or the relevant payment provider.

8. Intellectual property

Except for User Content, Rudo and its software, design, branding, logos, text, graphics, interfaces, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Zimplugs and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose in accordance with these Terms. No other rights are granted.

To report alleged copyright or trademark infringement, contact support@zimplugs.com and provide sufficient information to identify the protected work, the allegedly infringing material, your contact information, and the basis of your claim.

9. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information are explained in our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy is separate from these Terms and should be reviewed before you use the Service.

You must respect other users' privacy. Information obtained through Rudo must not be copied, published, sold, scraped, or used for an unauthorised purpose.

10. Account suspension, termination, and deletion

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion using the available account-deletion feature or by contacting support@zimplugs.com.

We may investigate, restrict, suspend, or terminate your account, with or without prior notice where permitted by law, if we reasonably believe that:

  • You violated these Terms or applicable law;
  • Your conduct presents a risk of harm, fraud, abuse, or disruption;
  • Your account is fake, compromised, or being used without authorisation;
  • Termination is necessary to protect another person, Rudo, or a third party; or
  • We are required to do so by law or by a competent authority.

We may retain limited information after deletion where reasonably necessary to comply with law, prevent fraud or repeat abuse, address safety incidents, resolve disputes, enforce these Terms, or maintain secure backups, as further explained in our Privacy Policy.

11. Third-party services

The Service may contain links to, integrations with, or content from third parties. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, content, security, or privacy practices. Your use of those services may be governed by separate terms.

12. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, permanent availability of any feature, the accuracy of User Content, the identity or conduct of any user, or any particular dating or relationship outcome.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty, right, remedy, or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Zimplugs and its personnel and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, data, opportunity, goodwill, or reputation arising from use of the Service.

We are not responsible for the conduct of users inside or outside the Service. This does not limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability arising from fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable law prohibits such limitation.

14. Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may modify the Service and these Terms from time to time. If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will provide reasonable notice through the Service, by email, or by another appropriate method before the change takes effect, unless an immediate change is required for legal, security, or safety reasons.

Your continued use after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. If you do not agree to a change, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.

15. General provisions

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain effective. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer our rights and obligations in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, or other lawful business transfer.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms displayed for a particular feature or purchase, constitute the agreement between you and Rudo concerning the Service.
